Products
In Odoo the products record has many options. You can manage the type of product whether it is “consumable”, “stockable” or “service”. You can define different “suppliers” for the product. Not only these, there are many other options available in product record.
You can view or create products from the following menu
Products>Products
When you click on the products menu option you will see the following window which contains list of different products.

Creating a new product
Products>Products>Create
To create a new product click on the “Create” button. The following form will be displayed.

In the above product form you have to fill the details like product name, category, product type, unit of measure, sale price, etc.
From the “Procurements” tab you can mention the procurement method of the product either “Make to Stock” or “Make to Order”, “Costing Method” like Standard Price or Average price, etc. The average price of the product will be calculated basing on the cost price of the product and the available stock.
